The 2002 Women's British Open was contested from 8–11 August at Turnberry, Alisa Course, in South Ayrshire, Scotland. It was the 27th edition of the Women's British Open, and the second as a major championship on the LPGA Tour.
This event was won by Karrie Webb of Australia, a two shot victory over compatriot Michelle Ellis and Paula Marti of Spain.
